My Swap Partner Geordie on alilscrapofheaven made this purse for me out of chipboard and paper!

Geordie made me a beautiful hand-made card and then she also sent me some goodies in my purse and in the box my purse came in. Included was some peach lace, she must have sent me 20 yards of that pretty lace, black/white fibers, white fibers, lavender/purple fibers, turquoise/hot pink fibers, chandelier tag, eiffel tower key chain, pretty edged envelopes, a red rose pin and some die cuts. Do What You Love, Love What You Do

I used an old Vintage Album Plastic Sleeve to create this crafty pocket. First I added a band of paper that surrounds the bottom. 

I layered the pocket with pink lace, chocolate brown ruffled lace, ribbon with metalic gold thread, tea-dyed ruffle trim, K & Co. dressform die-cut and pin cushion. "Do what you love, love what you do" tag added to the inside of the pocket.

The flower was created from a vintage wedding dress. Layers of  irridescent sequins surround the flower, large brown vintage button completes the center.

I also Co-Hosted and participated in a Vintage Purse Swap on ALilscrapofheaven and my swap partner was Geordie GBetty138 on Youtube. I hope she likes it!

It was my first attempt using a template that the Host Patti Scrappinings on Youtube created. With Patti's guidance and tinychat I was able to make this adorable chipboard vintage inspired purse. I used the Tim Holtz Shabby Chic Paper in the Blue designs, I tore up the paper in a pleasing form and mod podged them all over the purse.


I layered the inside with a movie film strip, vintage lace trim and the outside with vintage wedding dress trims, pearls, polka dot ruffled trim and a vintage necklace finishes off the handle. I also added velcro to the closure. I could not stop at that I had to make Geordie a satin pocket that was tea-dyed and more wedding trims and of course something to go inside the pocket, so I made her a hand-made tag with the coordinating colors.

I had so much fun making these burlap inspired butterflies
I just had to share them with you. Using my Coffee Colored
Ads Paper and layering the butterflies, I also added irridescent
vintage sequins down the middle of the butterflies for more
texture. The Scallop Envelope was created with script
writing paper and was embellished with three
layers of laces. I love adding vintage laces to envelopes it
really gives it an elegant touch. Also I added a piece of
film strip from a vintage movie to one of the envelopes.
